This project focuses on redesigning the SBI website to simplify navigation, reduce information overload, and improve overall user experience. The goal was to restructure complex banking categories into clear, intuitive sections for Personal, NRI, Business, Agriculture & Rural, and International Banking users. By adopting a clean, minimal design approach inspired by modern public-sector banks, the redesign makes key services easier to find, faster to access, and more user-friendly across devices.

Problem Statement

The existing SBI website suffers from complex navigation, excessive information on the homepage, and unclear category hierarchy. Users find it difficult to quickly locate key banking services such as accounts, loans, digital banking, and support due to overlapping menus and cluttered content. This results in higher cognitive load, confusion between similar options, and a slower, less efficient user journey—especially for first-time users, senior citizens, and rural customers.

Solution

The website was redesigned with a clear two-level navigation system that groups services into intuitive categories such as Personal, NRI, Business, Agriculture & Rural, and International Banking. Non-essential content was removed from the homepage and shifted to inner pages to reduce clutter. A clean, card-based layout and simplified menus were introduced to highlight only the most important actions, enabling users to find services faster, understand options easily, and complete tasks with minimal effort.

Result

The redesigned SBI website delivers a cleaner, more intuitive user experience with simplified navigation and reduced clutter. Users can now find key banking services faster, understand categories more easily, and complete common tasks with fewer clicks. Overall, the redesign improves usability, reduces cognitive load, and presents SBI as a more modern, accessible, and user-friendly digital bank.
